Mt. Dodeuram, Triple Top
Mokri, Majangmyeon, Icheon
It is 349m high, Many hikers visit this mountain on weekends. It is said that one good son climbed up the cliff to pick up a black mushroom to save his mother. When he was about to fall in danger, the mountain god sent a pig to warn him. Since then, the mountain was named “Dot(pig) Ureum(Crying) San(Mountain)”, then changed to the current name.
Hiking Course
1. Parking Lot → Yeongbosi → First top, Second top, Third top → The main top → The Pig Hole → Water Springs → Parking Lot (2~3hours) 2. Parking Lot → Stream Crossroads -> Easy Trail Crossroads -> First Top -> Second Top -> Third Top -> The Main Top -> View Point -> Forked Road -> Valley Trail -> Under the Highway -> Parking Lot (2~3 hours)
Seolbong Lake
Seolbong Park, Gwangodong, Icheon
Newly designed in 2001 during the World Ceramic Expo, the lake is loved by the public enjoying walking along the lake. The circumference of the lake is 1.05km, with the gross area of 30,000 pyeong(9.91ha approx.) This lake provides a peaceful place for the public to take a rest, decorated with various artistic sculptures by famous artists around the world, a foot pressure therapy trail, a 80m fountain with the rainbow.
Three Brothers Rock, Mt.Seolbong
Mt.Seolbong, Gwangodong, Icheon
Located in the middle of the mountain, there is a story passed on from long time ago. There were 3 good sons living with a mother. One day, the mother went out to look for sons when they were not coming back home. When the sons got home after the mother left, they realized that she was not at home. They found his mother being chased by a tiger under the deep cliff. They immediately jumped down to save her and became 3 rocks.
Mt.Seolbong Fortress
Mt.Seolbong, Gwangodong, Icheon
The old fortress was located along the 7th and 8th ridges, around “Kalbawi”, with the gross area of 30,000 pyeong(9.91ha approx.) This is a few of the fortresses built in the age of Hanseong Baekje, in the late 4th century. After the 3 times of excavation works, all the relics are housed in the Municipal Museum.
Corni Village
In Doripri Area, Baeksamyeon, Icheon
This area has a large population of corniness. Every March through April, this area is covered with yellow corni flowers, marking the beginning of the season. Every October, the region is decorated with colorful red fruits as well. Also there is a gazebo from the old times. This was built by Eom Yongsun in 1519, when the king Jungjong was trying to escape from the riot. As 6 scholars (Kim Inguk, Ogyeong Gangeun, Seong Damryeong, Im Naesin, Eom Yongsun) planted 6 trees to celebrate their friendship, the gazebo was called “Yukgoijeong(6-tree-gazebo)
Banryongsong ( Dragon Pine Tree )

At the end of Silla Dynasty, one Taoist planted 5 trees in 5 ideal areas, including Hamheung, Seoul, Gangwondo, Mt. Gyeryong and this region, and named one tree “Banryongsong(Dragon Pine Tree) as one dragon was thought to be hiding underground before ascending to heaven.

Malmoeri Bawi (Horse head Rock, Mt.Noseong)
Susanri, Seolseongmyeon, Icheon
Mt. Noseongsan, 310m high, has unique hiking trails and a gym park near the entrance of the hiking trail. Looking like a horse head, there are many other famous rocks as well, (Byeongpung Bawi, Ggukbawi). When the weather permits, people can enjoy the great view of other cities, Gamgok, Anseong, Iljuk, Yeoju, and Yangpyeong, from the top.
Icheon Ceramic Village
In Sugwangri Area, Sindunmyeon and Saeumdong, Icheon
This area is populated with lots of pottery shops. After years of efforts to restore the ancient pottery techniques which were forgotten after the close of official kilns, this area becomes the place of the pottery arts with Sugwangri’s kilns.
